Tihana Odlešić, member of the Croatian national team, born 1 June 1985 in Zagreb. Member of the crossbow association “Dubrava 1094” from Dubrava. She started shooting air-guns in 1996 and gained the title of “International champion shooter”. She has been shooting crossbow since 2002 and her best achievements were single silver medals in the 12th world championship in Otrokovice 2004 (Czech Republic) and the title of European champion in 2005 in Zundert (the Netherlands) and bronze medals in Moscow (Russia- indoor). She also gained some team silver medals in the world championship in Ivanic Grad (Croatia) in 2002 and in Otrokovice 2004 (Czech Republic) in the junior competition and team gold medals in the European championships in Zundert (the Netherlands) in 2005 and in 2003 indoor 18 metres in Kortrijk (Belgium) and 2005 (indoor) in Moscow (Russia). In her team as well as individually she gained 9 medals altogether in world and European crossbow field championships. She was nominated the most perspective Croatian sportswoman in 2004 by decision of the Croatian Olympic committee. |
