Sanja Komar, representative of Croatia, born 16 June 1973 in Zabok. She's member of the “PGSD Zagreb” from Zagreb. She has been a constant member of the Croatian national crossbow team since 1994. She has practised shooting guns since 1982. In 1994 she started shooting crossbow field. Up to now her greatest success (apart from her team's) was gaining the bronze world medal in 1998 in Hungary, in 2000 in New Zealand and in 2004 in the Czech Republic as well as silver medals in the European championship in Croatia (1999) and bronze medals in the Netherlands (2005) and in Russia (indoor) in 2005. She gained 6 world and 7 European team medals. Altogether she won 17 medals in world and European championships in the crossbow field discipline. Together with Branka Pereglin and Nikolina Krivanek she was nominated the best sports team of Croatia in 2002 and 2004 by decision of the Croatian Olympic committee and in 2004 in a poll of “Sportske novosti” by choice of journalists from 58 journalistic, radio and TV editorial offices. She achieved the categorie of “International champion shooter”.
